Impulse Dynamics N.V. is focused on the development of electrical therapies for the treatment of chronic heart failure. Its proprietary technology is based on a unique scientific discovery concerning electrical control of tissues: the application of nonexcitatory electrical signals delivered to the tissue can modify its properties (e.g., the force of a cardiac muscle contraction) in a predictable and reproducible manner.

Founded in 1996, the Impulse Dynamics group was organized for research and to support the development of the core technology. With Corporate Headquarters in the Netherlands Antilles, US Operations, Impulse Dynamics (USA) Inc. is headquartered in New York with a Product Development Center in New Jersey. The Technology Research Center, located in Israel, Impulse Dynamics (Israel ) Ltd., focuses on the early phases of technology innovation and development and the associated experimental tasks, working concurrently with Impulse Dynamics (USA) Inc. Our Swiss-based European Clinical Trials Center coordinates and assists with the implementation of clinical trials throughout Europe.

Behind the Impulse Dynamics technology and development stands a group of professionals including scientists, physicians, engineers, and expert consultants. Impulse Dynamics carries out research programs in major universities and hospitals throughout the world and has engaged some of the world's leading medical experts and investigators in their fields. Impulse Dynamics' core technology involves the control of individual cell activity during a period when the cell is already electrically active. The electrical signals applied from an electrode produce an immediate and powerful modulating effect on the normal function of the affected cells. This is called CCM therapy.
