Dr. Simos Kedikoglou is the CEO of Impulse Dynamics since 2013 and serves on the Company’s Board of Directors. He was previously CEO of MedInvest, an Israeli Medical Technology Incubator overseeing 10 portfolio companies with responsibility for their clinical and commercial strategy, technology development and debt and equity financing. He has also served as Corporate Vice President of Business Development for Boston Scientific responsible for acquisitions, licensing and distribution deals in the US, Europe and Asia and an Associate Partner with McKinsey & Company in the US advising clients on acquisitions in pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Simos holds a Medical Degree from the University of Athens, Greece, an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School as well as a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard University, and he is a CFA Charterholder.
Mr. Haines joined Impulse Dynamics in July 2019, bringing to the company a wealth of experience and proven track record in business, corporate finance and public markets, as well as acumen in strategic planning, M&A, and investor relations. His career has spanned a series of positions of increasing scope and responsibility. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY), where he also led Corporate Development, legal, and several other functions. Prior to Mercury, Mr. Haines served as Executive Vice President of Verenium Corporation, Executive Vice President of Strategic Affairs of Enterasys Networks, Inc., Senior Vice President of Cabletron Systems, Inc., the predecessor to Enterasys Networks; and Vice President of Applied Extrusion Technologies, Inc. Mr. Haines holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Boston University and a law degree from Cornell University.
Dr. Prutchi joined Impulse Dynamics in 1998. Prior to joining the Company, he worked at Sulzer-Intermedics Inc. where he was responsible for Bradycardia Advanced Technology Development and led the design and development of Intermedics’ next-generation implantable cardiac pacemaker.Dr. Prutchi has over twenty years of experience in biomedical R&D, and medical electronic instrumentation design and management. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, a B.Sc. in Exact Sciences and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering, all from Tel-Aviv University. Dr. Prutchi conducted Post-Doctoral research at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also served as a lecturer. He has published over thirty papers and holds close to seventy patents in the field of active implantable medical devices. He is the author of the book “Design and Development of Medical Electronic Instrumentation – A Practical Perspective of the Design, Construction and Test of Medical Devices” published by John Wiley & Sons.
Mr. Baer joined Impulse Dynamics in May 2019 bringing to Impulse Dynamics two decades of experience in the medical device space, namely in the cardiovascular arena. He has held leadership positions at Boston Scientific and Biotronik prior to his most recent position with Abbott (formerly St. Jude Medical). While at Abbott he was most recently Vice President in their Electrophysiology /CRM business unit, and prior to that held a number of leadership roles in the Abbott/St. Jude Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery business units. Mr. Baer holds a Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh and attended law school at Widener University.
Dr. Morley has been with Impulse Dynamics since early 2014 and currently leads the Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Department. Before joining Impulse Dynamics Dr. Morley was Vice President of Clinical Affairs at AtriCure, Inc. From 2004 to 2008, Dr. Morley served as Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for CircuLite, Inc. She worked for the Novacor division of Baxter Healthcare as Senior Clinical Scientist and Manager, Clinical Affairs for the Novacor Division from 2004 to 2006 in various roles. Dr. Morley served as Vice President of Clinical Affairs at ReliantHeart Inc. from 1996 to 2004 and oversaw all of its clinical issues. From 1992 to 1994, Dr. Morley was Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Research Director of Heart Failure and Transplant at Hahnemann University of Philadelphia. While at Hahnemann, Dr. Morley also worked closely with surgeons and cardiologists as a co-investigator for a left ventricular assist device project in clinical trials. She served on the faculty of Temple and Hahnemann Universities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Morley received her Ph.D. in Medical Physiology from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University.
Marc Borenstein is the General Counsel & Secretary since August 2012 and he also serves as VP Legal Counsel and Secretary of the Hobart Group. Before that, he served as VP General Counsel & Secretary at Alvarion Ltd and Deputy General Counsel at ECI Telecom, two NASDAQ traded companies. He served as acting General Counsel of ECI Telecom when it was purchased by private investors for $1.25 Billion. Mr. Borenstein has vast experience in commercial transactions and corporate matters. He holds an LLB and LLM from Brussels University and an LLM from University College London. He has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2001.
Mrs. Mor joined Impulse Dynamics in 2014 bringing over 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Corporate Management. Mrs. Mor also serves as the VP of Human Resources at Hobart Group International. Before Joining Hobart Group International, Mrs. Mor served as the Marketing and Communications Director of BATM, Head of Human Resources and Operations at Comgates, and Chief Operating Officer at Tikshuv & Yashir 2000. Mrs. Mor holds an Executive MBA from the Bar Ilan University and an M.A in Management and Professional Communications from Clark University, USA and a B.A in Business Administration (with a major in Human Resources).
Jens Kalender joined Impulse Dynamics in 2016. Before joining Impulse Dynamics, Mr. Kalender was the Sales Director Germany and Austria for TriVascular Germany GmbH. From 2010 – 2013, he worked as a Sales Manager Germany for Biotronik GmbH. Between 1995 and 2010 Mr. Kalender worked for Medtronic GmbH Deutschland as a Sales Rep for implantable Defibrillators, later as a Region Sales Manager for CRDM (Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management). He started his career in 1990 as a Sales Representative for Medtronic GmbH Austria, where he was responsible for building up the market for implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). Mr. Kalender holds a graduate degree in engineer from the University of Aachen, Germany.
Dr. Zelewski has been with Impulse Dynamics since 2016, and is an experienced senior manager with 22 years in medical devices, pharma and diagnostics. His medical technology market expertise was gained from numerous managerial positions with Johnson & Johnson in Europe and US, with increasing responsibilities up to the Managing Director position and from MetaCure Ltd where he served as CEO and President. Dr. Zelewski is experienced in customer focused sales and marketing strategies, customer education programs, innovation, launching numerous medical technologies, business development and employee leadership development. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Polmed, the Polish industry association of medical device manufacturers and distributors. Dr. Zelewski holds the MD degree and PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from Medical University of Gdansk, Poland.
